The European Court of Justice has ruled on the question of which court has jurisdiction, under the Brussels Regulation (44/2001/EC), in cases of alleged copyright infringement arising from the sale of a physical copy of the work brought by a copyright owner against a company established in another EU member state, where the copy has been sold on the internet in a third member state.
