Licence to underlet

Licence from the landlord to the tenant giving consent to underlet the whole or part of the property comprised in the (head)lease. The (head)lease may be either an old or a new lease under the Landlord and Tenant (Covenants) Act 1995. The underlease will be a new lease under that Act.

PLC FastDraft allows for the licence to underlet to be for the whole or part of a property. It also allows for the landlord to give consent to a change of the use of the property, and to carry out minor works. It is assumed that planning permission is not needed for the works.
