Crisis management: Preparing for the worst

Subject matter

This workshop will look at practical ways for law departments to

  • Identify potential crises,

  • reduce or contain the range of negative fallout from the crisis,

  • assist corporate leadership in effectively responding to the crisis.

Topics we will raise for participants to discuss include :

  • Process and methods for identifying issues that may become a crisis

  • Checklists and other useful tools and tactics to help the law department act to reduce damage from a crisis

  • Communicating to executives and directors during a crisis: presenting bad news and making recommendations effectively Expect the unexpected: actions or approaches that have proven most useful to the legal team’s involvement in crisis management.
